REMOVING Remove     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1 Disconnect ground cable of battery Model 203 AR54.10-P-0003P 
    Model 209 AR54.10-P-0003Q 
2 Remove paneling in luggage compartment IMPORTANT Only remove front trim.

    Model 203.2 AR68.30-P-4780PA
3 Remove side trim in trunk IMPORTANT Remove only the right side.

4 Unscrew screws (17) on E-net compensator (A28/3)    
5 Move out E-net compensator (A28/3) at bracket (3) from top to bottom (arrow)    
6 Unclip connector (4) on E-net compensator (A28/3) (arrow)    
INSTALLING Install     
7 Connect connector (4) with connector (5) to wiring harness (1)    
8 Connect connector (6) from wiring harness (1) to E-net compensator (A28/3)    
9 Move in E-net compensator (A28/3) to bracket (3) from the bottom upwards    
10 Fit bolts (17) to E-net compensator (A28/3)    
11 Tighten bolts (17) on E-net compensator (A28/3)    
12 Unlock lock (15) on compact plug (7) in direction of arrow    
13 Detach compact plug (7) from emergency call system control unit (N123/4)    
14 Loosen locks (16) on connector (8)    
15 Detach connector (8) from compact plug (7) in direction of arrow IMPORTANT Different connectors (8) are fitted depending on the vehicle model or equipment.
IMPORTANT The color of the connector (8) should be observed in order to then install the correct pin assignment (14).
With a blue connector (8) the lilac line with ELO contact (10) from the wiring harness (1) is used
With a black connector (8) the lilac line with MQS [micro quadlock system] contact (12) from the wiring harness (1)is used.
 
16.1 Clip lilac line with ELO contact (10) of wiring harness (1) into pin assignment (14) of connector (8) (arrow) IMPORTANT The ELO contact and MQS contact are identified by an information note on the respective lines.  
16.2 Clip lilac line with MQS contact (12) of the wiring harness (1) into pin assignment (14) of connector (8) IMPORTANT The ELO contact and MQS-contact are identified by an information note on the respective lines.  
17 Clip connector (8) into the compact plug (7)    
18 Clip compact plug (7) into emergency call system control unit (N123/4)    
19 Lock the lock (15) on the compact plug (7)    
20.1 Fasten lilac line with ELO contact (10) with cable ties (11) to existing wiring harness (2) IMPORTANT If lilac line with ELO contact (10) was used.  
20.2 Fasten lilac line with [MQS] micro quadlock system contact (12) with cable lies (11) to existing wiring harness (2) IMPORTANT If lilac line with ELO contact (12) was used.  
21.1 Bind together lilac line with ELO-contact (10) and fasten with cable ties (11) to existing wiring harness (2) IMPORTANT If lilac line with ELO contact (12) was used.  
21.2 Bind together lilac line with MQS-contact (12) and fasten with cable ties (11) to existing wiring harness (2) IMPORTANT If lilac line with ELO contact (10) was used.  
22 Install side paneling in luggage compartment IMPORTANT Only install right side.

23 Install trim panel in luggage compartment IMPORTANT Only install front trim.

24 Connect ground cable to battery Model 203 AR54.10-P-0003P
