Charge battery - AR54.10-P-1130P

MODEL 203, 209 

INSPECT Checking    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged leadacid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1 Check condition of battery   AR54.10-P-1129P 
  Charging     
2 Connect charger to battery NOTES Do not reverse polarity. Risk of short circuit! Ensure that the vent hose and battery stop plugs are installed in the correct position, otherwise escaping battery acid will damage the vehicle.  
3 Charge battery IMPORTANT Normal charging: charging current max. 10 % of battery capacity : e.g. max.
10 A charging current for a 100 Ah battery.
Rapid charging: charging current max.
 
    50 % of battery capacity for 30 min: e.g. max.
50 A charging current for a 100 Ah battery.
 
REFER TO TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS Problems with charging battery Only vehicle with AGM battery. AF54.10-P-6005A
4 Disconnect battery charger NOTES Always switch off charger beforehand in order to prevent arcing.  
INSPECT Checking     
5 Test battery after charging, see: ↓
