Pressing out and attaching supporting joint at steering knuckle - AR33.20-P-0440-01PW

MODIFICATION NOTES

1.8.03 Model 203 new special tool incorporated Step 3  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION WHEEL CONTROL, HUB

    Pushing off 

  1. Unscrew self-locking nut from supporting joint on steering knuckle (5).
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Attach thrust piece (07a).
  3. Press off supporting joint using SPECIAL TOOL puller (07).

    NOTES Do not damage boot, otherwise lubricant will escape from the supporting joint. This results in increased wear.

  4. SPECIAL TOOL Remove puller (07) SPECIAL TOOL and thrust piece (07a).

  5. Attaching 

  6. Clean tapered connection.

    IMPORTANT The cone and thread must be free of grease and oil

  7. Replace self-locking nut and screw on TORQUE SPECIFICATION . If necessary, counterhold ball head using an Allen wrench.
