Trunk lid control n
The trunk lid can be opened from different operating positions. The trunk lid is controlled via the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Triggering by the trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) when:
- v < 3 km/h (CAN signal) and
- play protection is not active and
- no undervoltage/overvoltage is present.
The operation of the trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) wakes CAN class B and sets a signal.
If the button is pressed for more than 25 seconds the signal is erased. CAN class B is kept awake while the button is pressed.
Triggering by the open trunk lid switch (S20/1s6) when:
- v < 3 km/h (CAN signal) and
- play protection is not active and
- no undervoltage/ overvoltage is present.
Triggering by transmitter key (A8/1) when:

and
Triggering by trunk lid emergency release switch (S88/10) when:
- v < 3 km/h (CAN signal) and
- play protection is not active.
When the trunk lid emergency release switch (S88/10) is operated, the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the trunk lid locking and the trunk lid is released irrespective of the local battery voltage.
The trunk lid emergency release switch (S88/10) is illuminated by an LED which flashes for 30 minutes when the trunk lid is opened and flashes for 60 minutes when the trunk lid is closed. Opening or closing the trunk lid starts the flashing duration timer again.
With code (551a) anti-theft alarm system (ATA), operating the trunk lid emergency release switch (S88/10) does not trigger an alarm.
