PTS control unit, task - GF54.65-P-4100-02PP
Tasks
The Parktronic control unit (N62) is the master control unit for the Parktronic system (PTS). It takes over the actuation, evaluation and voltage supply of the front bumper PTS sensor unit (A42) and rear bumper PTS sensor unit (A43). When an obstacle is detected there follows optical and acoustic warning information via the rear dome lamp PTS warning indicator (A44/3) or the center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4).
It is connected to the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) for the exchange of data with other control units.
Discrete inputs and outputs:
- PTS sensor unit, front bumper (A42)
- PTS sensor unit, rear bumper (A43)
- PTS warning display (rear dome lamp) (A44/3)
- Center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4)
Input and output signals via CAN-B:
- Activation/ deactivation of the Parktronic system (PTS)
- Signal from the PTS OFF switch (N72/1s8) via the upper control panel control unit (N72/1)
- Selector lever position
- Signal from the electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5) (on transmission 722) via the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73)
- Reverse gear status (on transmission 716)
- Signal from backup lamp switch (S16/2) via the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
- Trailer recognition (with code (550) trailer hitch)
- Signal from trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)
- Vehicle speed signal
- Signal from instrument cluster (A1)
- Day/night recognition
- Signal from automatic light switch daylight sensor (B32/1) (until 31.5.03) or rain/light sensor (B38/2) (as of 1.6.03) in each case via the overhead control panel control unit (N70)
