The coolant temperature is shown at the driver's request as a bar display in the multifunction display (A1p13). When the display is located in the basic display (total mileage and trip odometer), for this purpose the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) should be pressed once towards scroll forward using the button (↓).

This display is a plateau display, i.e. the bar stops at 95 °C at temperatures from 95 °C to 115 °C.

Temperatures in this range are not critical.

The correct temperature is only displayed once the temperature reaches 116 ° C. This prevents the driver from being unnecessarily disturbed by the display e.g. when the outside temperature is high. In the event of a defective engine and AC electric suction fan with integrated control (M4/7) temperatures between 96 °C and 116 °C are also displayed.

The warning range starts at 130 °C. As of 130 °C the coolant temperature and the warning message "COOLANT STOP, SWITCH OFF ENGINE" are displayed automatically in the multifunction display (A1p13). A warning signal also sounds.
