Gear indicator (A1p12) in instrument cluster (A1): 

The gear indicator (A1p12) shows the driver the currently selected shift range 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or the selector lever position D, R, N or P.

Transmission mode display (A1p16) in instrument cluster (A1) 

In the transmission mode display (A1p16) the driver is shown the transmission mode selected at the transmission mode switch (S16/5), sport program (S) or comfort program (C).
