- Expose spot welds (area A).
- Cut out spot welds with
spot weld milling cutter (area A).

- Drill spot welds with 7 mm dia. spiral bit (areas C and D).
- Expose spot welds (area D1 ).

- Mark separation point (area E).
- Cut separation point with body saw (area E).
- Remove section from bottom of firewall.
- Remove section from top of firewall.
- Remove remaining flange from firewall.

- Sand down to bare metal connection surfaces in the shaded areas on both sides.
- Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

- Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
Move drilling machine only in direction of arrow, to prevent wire brush from catching in sheet metal flange!
