- Press engagement lug (arrow) of the ordered MOST wiring harness outward slightly and pull the black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14) out of the MOST connector housing (11).
- Unclip blue retaining clip (15) out of the black, 2-pin MOST connector (14).
It must be ensured that the fiber optical cable module (8) in chamber 1 (input) is installed (see arrow). If this is not the case, install fiber optical cable module (8) from chamber 2 in chamber 1.
- Press engagement lug (arrow) of the second ordered MOST wiring harness outward slightly and pull the black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) out of the MOST connector housing (12).
The MOST connector housing (12) is no longer required.
- Unclip blue retaining clip (16) from the black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
It must be ensured that the fiber optical cable module (9) is installed in contact cavity 1 (input) (see arrow). If this is not the case, move fiber optical cable module (9) from contact cavity 2 to contact cavity 1.
- Install fiber optical cable module (9) in contact cavity (2) (output) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14).
Fiber optical cable module (9) must latch audibly.
- Install blue retaining clip (15) into the black, 2-pin MOST connector (14).
- Clip the black, 2-pin MOST coupling (14) into MOST connector housing (11).
The MOST connector housing (11) will later be connected to the CD player with changer (in glove compartment).
- Install the fiber optical cable module (8) in contact cavity (2) (output) of black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
Fiber optical cable module (8) must latch audibly.
- Install blue retaining clip (16) into the black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13).
Black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) will be later connected to radio.
- Wrap felt tapes (20, 21) on the MOST wiring harness at the locations shown in the illustration (note measurements).
- = 75 mm
- = 70 mm
- = 140 mm
- Route fiber optical cable modules (8, 9) with black MOST connector housing (11) from radio recess through the cutout into the glove compartment.
Risk of breakage!
Do not kink optical waveguide, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.
- Install black, 2-pin MOST coupling (13) into the black, 16-pin radio coupling (A2).
