Warning display, function - GF54.65-P-4104-01PP

The center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and the rear dome lamp PTS warning indicator (A44/3) are actuated by the Parktronic control unit (N62). For each calculated distance optical and possibly acoustic warning information is emitted by the center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and rear dome lamp PTS warning indicator (A44/3) (see the following tables).

Visual warning information 

• Yellow and red segments

The brightness of the segments depends on the day/night signal from the overhead control panel control unit (N70).

Acoustic warning information: 

• Intermittent signal to continuous signal via an internal sound source.

For a faster distinction the warning chimes of the center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and rear dome lamp PTS warning indicator (A44/3) have a different frequency. The center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) emits the warning chime with a higher frequency

System status display 

After the self-test of the Parktronic control unit (N62) all the segments light up for approx. 1 second.

When the Parktronic system (PTS) is ready to function, all the outer yellow segments light up with reduced brightness. The appropriate red segments light up in the event of a malfunction. In addition a warning chime is emitted for 3 seconds.
