Faults in the BAS are indicated in the multifunction display in the instrument cluster.
Evaluation in multifunction display
If the multifunction display (A1p13) displays the message "Brake Assist BAS Go to Garage!" when the engine is running, there is a fault in the BAS system. The BAS is no longer functional, but the ESP and ABS systems continue to operate.
The fault is stored in the respective control module and can be read out using the diagnosis tool.
