Wiring harness, preparation

Disconnect line tie-out with 3-pin, black connector for CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6) from wiring harness (3) from power supply
The line tie-out is the power supply for the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6). The remaining power supply wiring harness (3) is no longer required
Remove adhesive tape (2).

Wrap power supply wiring harness (1) with felt tape (8)

Check assignment for black, 2-pin connector on power supply wiring harness (1)
Nominal status assignment

Chamber 1: red/pink line (rt/rs) or red/black line (rt/sw)

Chamber 2: brown line (br)

Chamber 3: blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw)
Strip insulation on brown line (br) and rot/ pink line (rt/rs) for power supply wiring harness (1)
Cut insulation off of vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6) approx. 50 mm as of black, 16-pin connector for radio (A2)
Cut brown line (br) of vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6)
Strip off insulation at ends of brown line (br) of vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6) and connect with brown line (br) of power supply wiring harness (1) with solder connector (4)

Cut red/blue line (rt/bl) of vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6)
Strip off insulation at ends of red/blue line (rt/bl) from vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6) and connect with red/pink line (rt/rs) of power supply wiring harness (1) with solder connector (4)
1. Connect blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) for power supply wiring harness (1) with blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) from vehicle-own radio wiring harness (6) with potential distributor (5)
  On vehicles with blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of black, 16-pin radio connector (A2).
  
  The voltage distributor (5) is available in the wiring harness repair set .

2. Strip insulation off of blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) on power supply wiring harness (1) and install MCP 2.8 contact (3) on blue/black line (bl/sw)
  On vehicles without blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of black, 16-pin radio connector (A2).
  
  Take MCP 2.8 contact (3) from wiring harness repair set .

Press lock (7) with puller hook out of 16-pin radio connector (A2) in direction of arrow and remove. Install blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) with MCP 2.8 contact in chamber 16 of black, 16-pin radio connector (A2)
On vehicles without blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of black, 16-pin radio connector (A2).

Blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) should arrest audibly.
Reinstall lock (7) in black, 16-pin radio connector (A2).
Break out perforation in glove compartment (see arrow) with suitable tool

Route black, 3-pin connector for CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6) of power supply wiring harness (1) behind instrument panel carrier through cutout in glove compartment.
