Retrofit fiber optic cable wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-01PPA
- Prepare fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) as shown in figure.
- Route fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) in vehicle as shown in figure.

In this case install only the telephone interface (A34/4).

The maximum station sequence is:
- Radio (A2)
- Telephone interface (A34/4)
- CD changer (A2/6) (if installed)
- Radio (A2)
- Expose the two fiber optic cable connectors D2B (X39/43) in the area of the cable duct of the right rear door and check the routing direction.
The fiber optic cables routed toward the front of the vehicle lead to the radio (A2) or the CD changer (A2/6).The fiber optic cables routed to the rear to the trunk lead to the telephone interface (A34/4).
- Check the fiber optic cables leading to the front to the radio (A2) at couplers A and B.
- Find the coupler (B) that has a red insert (rt) on the radio side (A2) (arrow) and lay aside (it is not altered).
- Remove the white insert (ws) originating from the radio out of the production coupler (A).
- Insert the removed white insert (ws) into the new coupler (N) for the fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) and close the coupler (N). Remove the green cover cap from the white insert (ws) of the fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) and insert the white insert (ws) into the old coupler (A) and close the coupler.
- The nominal configuration in the vehicle now is:
- Radio (A2)
- Telephone interface (A34/4)
- Voice control system control module (A35/11)
- CD changer (A2/6) (if installed)
- Radio (A2)
- Route fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) through the rear panel into the trunk.

- Route fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) on equipment board as shown in figure and fasten with adhesive felt. Connect fiber optic cable to voice control system control module (A35/11).
