Satellite radio, task - GF82.85-P-3113-01PO

The SDAR control unit (N87/5) decodes the S-band satellite signals received by the SDAR antenna (A2/82) and forwards them via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) to the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) or the radio (A2), depending on the vehicle equipment. The function of the satellite radio can be called up at the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) using the SAT button or in the corresponding menu of the radio (A2).

The "Satellite radio" function is intended as a special equipment variant in the vehicle ex works. In other words, not only is all the necessary wiring provided in the vehicle, the SDAR antenna (A2/82) and the SDAR control unit (N87/5) are also installed in the vehicle.
