Retrofitting refrigerator in rear armrest - AN86.61-P-0001M

MODEL 220 

IMPORTANT

The refrigerator is equipped with a low voltage cut-off switch allowing it to be operated when the vehicle is parked without discharging the battery.

When retrofitting it is necessary to install the 78-liter fuel tank with  through-loading possibility instead of the standard fuel tank.

(Eliminated on vehicles with code 282 (ski bag in rear center armrest)).

DANGER Fuel presents an explosion hazard  and is toxic  when inhaled or absorbed. Contact with fuel can cause skin and eye injury  Fire, open lights and smoking prohibited.
Fill and store fuel only in containers intended for this purpose and marked accordingly.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

REMOVING Removal     
1 Disconnect ground lead on battery    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-P-0003I
2.1 Completely remove rear seat    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.12-P-1620MA
2.2 Completely remove right rear bucket seat    
REMOVING     AR91.12-P-1620M
3.1 Remove material cover (17) from rear armrest (18) IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
3.2 Remove center rear seat armrest IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)
IMPORTANT Part eliminated
 
REMOVING   IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with bucket seats AR91.12-P-1620M
4 Remove control module mount below right rear seat    
5 Remove insulating mat in rear IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
6 Remove ski bag (or refrigerator mount (12) IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
7 Remove trunk paneling IMPORTANT The rear wall paneling and floor covering is eliminated except on vehicles with code 282 ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4600M
8 Remove fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR47.10-P-4100IA
INSTALLING Installation     
9 Install fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR47.10-P-4100I
10 Reroute refrigerator wiring harness and connect   AZ86.61-P-0001-01M 
11 Retrofit refrigerator housing Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)
IMPORTANT Interchangeable with ski bag housing
AN91.22-P-0001-03M
12 Install trunk paneling IMPORTANT Floor covering is a new part except on vehicles with code 282
Ski bag (through-loading possibility)

13 Complete vehicle    
14.1 Remove ski bag from rear armrest and lay in trunk (part remains with customer) IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)

15 Insert refrigerator (A39/1) into refrigerator housing (10) and connect connection lead to connector mount (6)    
16 Fill fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)

  Checking     
17 Perform version coding for tank version  IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with code 282 Ski bag (through-loading possibility)

18 Check for proper function IMPORTANT See Owner's Manual
