Retrofitting ski bag - AN91.22-P-0001M: Notes

MODEL 220 

IMPORTANT The ski bag can hold two pairs of skis. When retrofitting install 78-liter fuel tank with  ski bag recess instead of the standard fuel tank.

(Eliminated on vehicles with code 308, refrigerator in rear center armrest).

DANGER Fuel presents an explosion hazard  and is toxic when inhaled or absorbed. Contact with fuel can cause skin and eye injury  Fire, open lights and smoking prohibited.
Fill and store fuel only in containers intended for this purpose and marked accordingly.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

REMOVING Removal     
1 Disconnect ground lead on battery IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

2.1 Completely remove rear seat    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308) AR91.12-P-1620MA
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT With bucket seats AR91.12-P-1620M
2.2 Remove rear seat cushion    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308) AR91.12-P-1020MA
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT With bucket seats AR91.12-P-1020M
3.1 Remove material cover (17) from rear armrest (18) IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with rear bench seat, except with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)  
3.2 Remove center rear seat armrest IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)
IMPORTANT Part eliminated.
 
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with bucket seats AR91.12-P-1620M
4 Remove stowage compartment from rear seats IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with right and left multi-contour backrest  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.12-P-1760M
5 Remove insulating mat in rear IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)  
6 Remove trunk paneling IMPORTANT The rear wall paneling and floor covering is eliminated except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

7 Remove fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

INSTALLING Installation     
8 Install fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

9 Retrofit ski bag housing IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308) AN91.22-P-0001-03M 
10 Install trunk paneling IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)
IMPORTANT The floor covering is a new part
 
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4600M
11 Screw bracket (16) for carabiner hook to cross member below rear seat cushion IMPORTANT Install short bracket (61 mm) on vehicles with bucket seats and long bracket (91 mm) on vehicles with rear bench seat.  
12 Complete vehicle    
13.1 Remove refrigerator from rear armrest and put into trunk (part remains with customer) IMPORTANT Only on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

14 Insert ski bag (11) into ski bag mount (12) and close cover IMPORTANT Insert side with long prongs (see magnified section) into ski bag mount on left and then clip short prongs in on right side  
15 Fill fuel tank IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)

  Checking     
16 Perform version coding for tank version  IMPORTANT Except on vehicles with refrigerator in rear center armrest (code 308)
IMPORTANT See STAR diagnosis
 
17 Check for proper function IMPORTANT See Owner's Manual
