Electric engine/air conditioning fan function - GF83.40-P-2118-01IA
Function
The power of the electric engine/air conditioning fan is controlled by the engine electronics (infinitely variable).
The electronic ignition lock pushbutton control module calculates the fan speed setting depending on the refrigerant pressure and transmits the request to the engine electronics. The refrigerant pressure value is received by the electronic ignition switch control module via the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module.
In air conditioning mode with an outside temperature of 15 °C and ground speed of below 70 km/h a basic ventilation capacity of 40 % is requested.
The engine electronics calculate the fan speed setting depending on the engine temperature and compare this with the request from the air conditioning. The greater of the two is output as the control signal.
