	Remove/install
1	Remove luggage compartment floor covering	Remove floor cover from the working area.
2	Remove luggage net from the luggage compartment	Remove luggage net from the working area.
3	Remove vehicle jack cover	Remove vehicle jack cover from the working area. Installation:  Pay attention to firm, correct seating.
4	Remove spare wheel	To do this, unscrew the central mounting bolt. Installation:  Do not allow spare wheel to drop into the spare wheel well. Otherwise hydraulic lines (3) may be damaged.
5	Remove hydraulic system cover (2)	Unscrew screws (1) for this step. Installation:  Note installation position, the cutout in the hydraulic system cover (2) must be located above the train of pipes. Before installation, the hydraulic system cover (2) must be reduced in size by approx. 20 mm measured from the outer edge at the cutout for the train of pipes by making a single straight cut (arrow) to make more clearance for the hydraulic lines (3). Installation:  Hydraulic lines (3) must be routed flat next to each other in the recess provided for this. Crossovers must be avoided in each case. After correct routing cover the set of lines with felt tape and fix in position.

	Check
6	Check hydraulic system for leaks.	Check all hydraulic lines (3), cylinders and connections for oil loss by visual inspection. In the event of a detectable oil loss this must be eliminated subject to a separate repair order.
7	Check fill level of hydraulic system	It must be guaranteed that during work on the vehicle one door is open in order to prevent person(s) being locked out of the vehicle. In dusty surroundings cover the opening with corresponding foil. The side windows must be closed. Correct the oil level if necessary. If the oil level in the expansion reservoir (4) is below the "Min" mark in addition to the leak test the water drain bores in all the doors with moving side windows must be checked for any oil which runs out. If oil loss is detectable, eliminate subject to separate repair order.

8	Install in the reverse order
