REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  when drilling gas-filled assemblies or components (gas filling cannot ignite) Wear safety glasses and face mask. AS00.00-Z-0006-01A

1 Remove inner liner in front fender IMPORTANT Left front fender AR88.10-P-1300M
2 Open the bleed screws (56) to release the pressure from the ABC system NOTES The engine must be switched off for at least 5 minutes. To prevent the body of the vehicle from sinking rapidly, open the bleed screw (56) slowly to limit the flow rate of the emerging hydraulic fluid.
IMPORTANT Allow the emerging hydraulic fluid to drain into a suitable container.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1001-02B 
3 Disconnect the high-pressure line (SP) from the pressure reservoir for the front suspension (14) and from the ABC front suspension valve body (Y36/1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1001-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1002-01A 
4 Unscrew nuts (14a) and remove front axle pressure reservoir (14) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.50-P-1004-01A 
5 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
