The right front SAM control module (N10/7) has the following tasks:

Actuation: 

• of headlamp cleaning system,
• exterior lights,
• the interior lighting,
• the washer fluid hose heater,
• the auxiliary water pumps.

Scanning the following switches: 

• coolant level indicator switch (S41),
• washer fluid level check of windshield washer system (S42),
• glove compartment illumination with switch (E13/2)
• ATA [EDW] hood switch (S62),
• ATA switch for glove box.

Reading in following sensors 

• Right front brake pad contact sensor (S10/2).

Scanning the following signals: 

• Circuit 61 (reading in generator voltage).

Switching of consumers: 

• Lamps of exterior lights,
• Lamps of interior lights,
• Washer nozzle heater (R2/1),
• Washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11),
• Windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1),
• HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2).

Switching the following relays: 

• Motor electronics/chassis relay (K40/7kK),
• Fanfare horn relay (K40/7kP),
• Transmission oil cooler relay (external relay),
• CDI relay (K40/7kM).

The right front SAM control module (N10/7) is connected to the interior CAN for the exchange of data.
