Remove/install ESP brake pressure sensor - AR42.45-P-0816GH

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1.1 Jacking up and supporting vehicle IMPORTANT Only on model 163.113. AR00.60-P-1000GH
2.1 Remove inner liner in front fender IMPORTANT Only on model 163.113. AR88.10-P-1300GH
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
3 Disconnect battery ground cable   AR54.10-P-0003A

DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A 
4 Suction off brake fluid from the brake fluid expansion reservoir (1) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2

5 Detach plug from ESP brake pressure sensor 1 (B34/1) and plug from ESP pressure sensor 2 (B34/2) IMPORTANT Up to VIN A371934 both ESP pressure sensors are fitted, as of VIN A371935 only one ESP pressure sensor is fitted.
IMPORTANT On model 163.113 is the ESP pressure sensor is accessible through the left front fender.
 
6 Unscrew ESP pressure sensor 1, (B34/1)and ESP pressure sensor 2 (B34/2) from stepped tandem brake master cylinder (2) IMPORTANT On model 163.113 is the ESP pressure sensor is accessible through the left front fender. Collect any brake fluid which runs out with rags.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.45-P-1007-01B 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Bleed brake system   AR42.10-P-0010GH

9 Read out fault memory and erase Diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS *WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
