Model 210 as of 7/99
Note
The fault is current when the fault code is displayed against a black background.
Depending on the type of fault, detailed information on faults or partial data appear for most faults
> Ω Resistance too high
< Ω Resistance too low
Short-circuit to -
Short-circuit to +
Open-circuit
For most fault codes the following additional information, such as fault frequency/operating time, can be read out using the
button.
Fault frequency
The number of times a fault has occurred, for example: 5, temporary fault occurred 5 times and went away 5 times.
Operating time
The time which has elapsed since a fault occurred.
The time which has elapsed since the fault disappeared.
Actual values
The following displays are possible:
,
, ON, OFF
The respective values are within the specified value
The respective values are not within the specified value
ON Seat belt buckle fastened, front passenger-side seat occupied
OFF Seat belt buckle not fastened, front passenger-side seat not occupied
In contrast to the fault memory, the actual values are constantly updated even during diagnosis so that, for example, an intermittent fault can be determined by shaking the components, connectors or wiring harness.
Further actual values
If seat occupation recognition (SBE) with child seat recognition (KSE) is fitted, the following are also displayed:
Function: -F- / SBE / KSE
(SBE is active if the child seat is not fitted or not recognized)
Front passenger seat: Occupied / not occupied
Child seat: -F- / recognized / not recognized
Alignment of child seat: -F- / forwards / backwards
The SBE/KSE actual value displays are updated at time intervals of approx. 15 seconds.
