ME-SFI EGR transducer - Fault code description - AD07.61-P-4000-51A
| 1 | Fault code | P0400 | |
| 2 | Fault storage | Following the expiry of the test duration and fault | |
| Activation of the engine diagnosis (EURO3/4) or CHECK ENGINE (MIL) malfunction indicator lamp |
Following two consecutive driving cycles with fault | ||
| 3 | Frequency of the test | Continuously | |
| 4 | Checked signal or status | Current/voltage test at the EGR transducer | |
| 5 | Fault setting conditions | Voltage < 2.5 V | |
| Limit values | Current > 4.2 A | ||
| Short-circuit to ground | No voltage at the EGR transducer | ||
| Short-circuit to + 12 V | Approx. 4 - 8 V at the non-loaded output of the ME-SFI control module | ||
| Cable interruption | Approx. 1 s | ||
| Duration of test | |||
| 6 | Test prerequisites | Battery voltage between 8 -17.1 V | |
| 7 | A check is carried out for lead interruption and short-circuit (to ground or battery voltage). In blocked output stage status, short-circuit to ground and lead interruption are detected, whilst short-circuit to battery voltage is detected with output stage conduction. In the event of a fault, the output stage is no longer activated with immediate effect. |
