Disconnect/connect battery's ground cable - AR54.10-P-0003A

MODEL 163, 168, 170, 202, 208, 210, 129, 414.700

1.1 Open engine hood Model 163  
1.2 Open battery cover in passenger side footwell Model 168, 414  
1.3 Remove rear seat Model 210.0 AR91.12-P-1700F
1.4 Fold rear seat cushion forwards and remove battery compartment cover Type 210.2  
1.5 Flip up trunk luggage cover Model 202.01/02/03/12/13, 208  
1.6 Remove cargo space cover Model 202.07/08/09/18/19  
1.7 Remove battery cover in right-hand side of trunk Model 129  
2 Disconnect battery ground cable IMPORTANTModel 163, 210:  Insulate terminal of ground cable to avoid unintentional contact between the ground cable (1) and the ground point W10 (model 210) or W16/4 (model 163). Connect quiescent current retention unit if necessary.

After opening the vehicle, wait for at least 4 minutes before disconnecting the battery, otherwise the alarm will be triggered.
 
3 Connect ground cable IMPORTANTModel 163:  Tighten the nut (5) of the ground line (1) to the specified torque.
Perform the following operations only if no quiescent current retention unit was connected.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 163 *BA54.10-P-1017-01C 
Code radio MB Audio 5 (model 168).
Sound 10, 20, 30 radio and Audio 10 comfort radio, D2B networked (model 414.600/700)

    Becker 2000 (models 202, 210, 129) AR82.60-P-7502-01A
    Becker Mexico, Grand Prix, Europa, Avus (model 129) AR82.60-P-7502-01C
    MB (models 163, 170, 202, 208, 210) AR82.60-P-7502-01B
    Hi-Line, Premium with Bose (model 163) AR82.60-P-7502-01GH
5 Set time on instrument cluster IMPORTANT Set time on stationary heater time if necessary.  
6.1 Activating steering angle sensor Model 129, 163, 168, 210 with ADS (code 217a) AR46.10-P-0300-01A
    Model 414.600/700 AR46.10-L-0300-01VA
7.1 Synchronize titling/sliding roof Model 163 with code 414.
IMPORTANT Open tilt/slide sunroof and hold down switch. Tilting/sliding roof mechanism moves to end position, pulls back 1/4 turn and stops.
 
8.1 Synchronize lamella roof Model 163, 168 with code 417.
IMPORTANT Close the lamella roof and hold down the switch for 5 to 10 seconds.
 
9.1 Synchronize power windows Model 163 as of VIN A289565, X754620 model 168, 414.600/700.
IMPORTANT Press the switch for the power windows to the 1st actuation point, and then hold down for another 5 seconds after the window has reached its top end position.
