Retrofitting voice control system - AH82.70-P-0001-01A

The voice control system (VCS) is possible solely in combination with the AEG telephone standard code 274 or 314.

Models already equipped with the Mercedes-Benz telephone code 274 and 314 can be retrofitted with the VCS.

In this case, it is only necessary to install the telephone wiring harness, replace the transmitter-receiver unit and install the activation switch.

On models with preinstallation for standard telephone code 272 and roof antenna code 354, it is not necessary to install the hands-free microphone and the roof antenna.

The telephone wiring harness of models with code 272, 274 and 314 is exposed, all the contacts are separated, insulated and tied back. Bright metallic body points, e.g. at drilled holes, should be coated with zinc dust paint.
