Detaching, attaching and securing twelve-point collared nut on front axle shaft Caulker for securing twelve-point collared nut - AR33.30-P-0620-01A

IMPORTANTReplacing twelve-point collared nut 

Modification notes

26.7.99 Value in BA33.30-P-1001-02A in model 210.08/28 changed from 220 Nm to 280 Nm    
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Front axle shaft

    Detaching 

  1. Apply service brake.
  2. Slacken and remove twelve-point collared nut (61) holding the front axle shaft.
  3. Attaching and securing 

  4. Screw on and tighten new twelve-point collared nut (61). Pay attention to tightening torque.
  5. Secure twelve-point collared nut using caulker so that there is no gap between the slot and the locking tab (arrow).
