Retrofitting wiring harness of automatic child seat recognition (ACSR) - AN91.60-P-0002-01C

Connection schematic for ACSR
- Route wiring harness along existing wires starting from ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2) in vehicle according to figure.
Connection schematic for ACSR
- Remove ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2). Disconnect connector (3) from control module.
- Open connector (3) (arrow) and pull out contact spring carrier (4).
- If applicable, remove present wires from chambers 15, 33 and 37 (no longer required).
- Insulate removed wires and tie back.
- Insert brown/white lead (br/wt) with contact spring from ACSR wiring harness (1) into chamber 15, black/brown lead (bk/br) with contact spring into chamber 33 and gray/yellow lead (gr/ye) with contact spring into chamber 37.
- Close connector (3), connect to ETR control module with airbag (AB) (N2/2) and install.
- Route black/brown lead (bk/br) from ACSR wiring harness (1) with white connector (wt) to lower control panel control module.
- Connect white connector (wt) to lower control panel control module (N72).
Perform step 10 on vehicles already equipped with a connector.
- Open white connector from ACSR wiring harness (1), remove lead from chamber 2 and insert into chamber 2 of present connector, close connector and connect lower control panel control module (N72).
- Connect brown lead from ACSR wiring harness (1) to one of the brown ground leads (br) on the ETR control module with airbag (AB) (W26) using a potential distributor (P).
Carefully insert brown lead into potential distributor (P), close cover and simultaneously press until it catches (arrow).

- Route tie-out to passenger seat contacting strip (X55/4) according to figure.
- Route black/yellow lead from ACSR wiring harness (1) in driver footwell along existing wires to fuse and relay box (F1) according to figure.
- Connect black/yellow lead from ACSR wiring harness (1) to fuse and relay box (F1), fuse 13, (terminal 15R).
Tie excessive lead length back in fuse box.
- Unclip old switch block for lower control panel control module (N72) from wooden cover (no longer required).
- Use new wooden cover with recess for automatic child seat recognition warning lamp (N72e1).
- Clip new switch block for lower control panel control module (N72) into wooden cover and connect to wiring harness.
