Notes on HHT advanced information diagnosis IC - AD54.30-P-2000-02A

IMPORTANTHHT :

The instrument cluster and the part function Active Service System (ASSYST) are checked with the HHT, for which there is the choice of the following functions:

  1. Version of control module
  2. Fault memory
  3. Actual values
  4. Actuations
  5. Control module adaptation (previous variant codings)

Additional information can be called up on test items 2, 3 and 5 using the INPUT key.

IMPORTANTControl module adaptation:

The following alternatives are available under control module adaptation in the HHT:

  1. Read out coding and transfer into the new instrument cluster. IC and ASSYST.
  2. Read out/change coding e.g.:

Engine and national variant, version of fuel tank, special equipment etc.

  3. Settings:
    • Oil change
    • Preset/reset kilometer reading
    • Reset oil change triggered inadvertently
    • Active Service System
    • Enter times with battery disconnected
    • Set minimum oil warning

IMPORTANT Before replacing a defective instrument cluster, read out the existing control module adaptation (driving data and instrument cluster data) and store on a temporary basis in the HHT. Read in the values stored on a temporary basis again after installing the new instrument cluster.

If it is not possible to read out the control module adaptation stored, all the adaptations must be input manually (menu assistance in HHT).

Do not preset any kilometer reading when installing an instrument cluster on a trial basis, as it is not possible to reset it later.
