Removing and installing rear bumper - AR88.20-P-2200FB

MODEL 210.2 as of 1.6.99

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Open spare wheel cover and remove    
2 Remove spare wheel    
3 Disconnect rear bumper Parktronic system (PTS) connector (X35/28) and remove through vehicle floor with rubber grommet IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that rubber grommet is seated properly.  
4 Open right stowage compartment cover and remove    
5 Open cover below right stowage compartment    
6 Unscrew left and right screws (3)    
7 Unscrew left and right screws (4)    
8 Unscrew nuts (5) IMPORTANT For this purpose remove cover from center nut  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.20-P-1002-01A 
9 Forcefully pull bumper (1) toward rear below left and right taillamps IMPORTANTInstallation:  Position bumper (1) at recess and slide toward front until it catches audibly (arrow)  
10 Remove bumper (1) with aid of second mechanic IMPORTANTInstallation:  Observe lateral guides on bumper (1)  
11.1 Transfer M AMG bumper IMPORTANT See installation instructions for accessories ↓  
    Retrofitting M AMG paneling sections AZ88.00-P-0001G 
12 Install in opposite order
