IMPORTANT Start routing wiring harness in the middle of the vehicle. Connect wiring harness and tie-outs to present leads and wiring harnesses. Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard.

  1. Route lead tie-out with 3-pin connector (7) in center console toward front to installation location for ATA interior motion sensor/ anti-towing sensor/status indicator switch (S85/2) and connect to switch.
  2. Route wiring harness with connectors (1 and 8) and ground lead (9) toward front into driver's footwell in left wiring duct and route into passenger compartment through housing of fuse and relay box.
  3. Route wiring harness with connectors (2, 3, 6 and 11) and leads (4, 5 and 10) in right wiring duct toward rear below rear bench seat.
  4. Continue to route lead tie-out with 18-pin connector (6) to installation location of PSE control module and connect to connector.
  5. Route lead tie-out with 2-pin connector (12) toward rear below rear bench seat in left wiring duct.

IMPORTANT If the ATA is installed without interior motion sensor leave tie-outs in wiring duct with

    • 4-pin connector (3)for connecting interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14),
    • 2-pin connectors (11 and 12) for connecting the right and left glass breakage sensors

      and

    • black (sw) lead (10) for connecting the rear window defroster.
  6. Connect leads (4 and 5) to rear fuse box (F4):

IMPORTANT Connect supply lead (5)for interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) only when the ATA is simultaneously retrofitted with the interior motion sensor. Without interior motion sensor insulate and tie back lead.

    • Unclip fuse block B from fuse box (F4).
    • Connect red/blue, yellow (rt/bl ge) supply lead (4) for alarm signal siren (H3/1) and ATA inclination sensor (B33) to plug location B of fuse (F4f11).
    • Connect red/blue, yellow (rt/bl ge) supply lead (5) for interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) to plug location A of fuse (F4f11).
    • Insert 7.5 A fuse if not already inserted.
    • Reclip fuse block into fuse box.

  7. Route wiring harness with connectors (1 and 8) and ground lead (9) out of fuse and relay box housing.
    • Remove connectors (1 and 8) from leads.
    • Route lead tie-outs and ground lead out of fuse and relay box housing into component compartment through the 4 mm hole in rubber grommet 3 (arrow).
    • Reinstall connectors.
  8. Route lead tie-out with 2-pin connector (8) out of component compartment into engine compartment for connecting engine hood switch (ATA) (S62) and route toward front to left engine compartment lock.
  9. Route tie-out with 3-pin connector (1) to right side of component compartment behind splash wall for connecting alarm signal siren and ground lead (9).
