Survey of interior motion sensor connection wiring harness
Connect leads and tie-outs to present leads and wiring harnesses.
Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard.
- Route tie-out with 2-pin connector (7) to left vehicle side along ATA/TS wiring harness for connecting to left rear glass breakage sensor (B39) and route to rear in left wiring duct.
- Route lead tie-out upward to left side window of load compartment over left wheelhouse and connect connector (7) to left rear glass breakage sensor (B39).
- Route lead tie-out with 2-pin connector (1) upward to right side window of load compartment over right wheelhouse for connecting to right rear glass breakage sensor (B39/1) and connect to glass breakage sensor.
- Determine black (sw) lead (8) for rear window defroster (R1) in rear area of right cable duct.
- Separate lead (8) and connect black (sw) lead (6) to IMS connection wiring harness.
- Remove 18-pin connector for ATA/TS wiring harness from PSE control module (combined) (A37).
- Connect leads (4 and 5) of IMS connection wiring harness to 18-pin connector:
- Connect yellow (ge)lead (4)to plug location 1.
- Connect blue (bl)lead (5)to plug location 13.
The figure shows the assignment for the 18-pin connector from the connector side.
- Route IMS connection wiring harness with 4-pin connector (2) along main wiring harness toward rear to right D-pillar for connecting to interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14).
- Route connection wiring harness to D-pillar upward to roof area and route to installation location of interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver.
Fasten connection wiring harness in roof area with tape.
- Unclip fuse block B from rear fuse box (F4).
- Connect IMS connection wiring harness to fuse block B:
