Removing and installing transmitter/receiver unit - AR82.70-P-8911G

MODEL 210.0 up to 30.6.00 with CODE (316) MB GSM cellular telephone (D2B)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  from caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead acid batteries. No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-protective gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery NOTES Insulate cable terminal of ground lead to prevent unintentional contact between the disconnected ground lead and ground point W10. AR54.10-P-0003A

2 Remove side cover on left side of trunk    
3 Unscrew welding bolt nut (2) from cradle (1)    
4 Unscrew nut (3) from side wall    
5 Lift cradle (1) with all control modules out of wheelhouse and place in trunk IMPORTANT Do not damage wiring harness.
NOTES Do not kink or stretch D2B fiber optic cable.
 
6 Turn cradle (1) (arrow)    
7 Release connector on transmitter/receiver (A35) and disconnect    
8 Disconnect antenna cable from transmitter/ receiver (A35)    
9 Unscrew nuts (5) an remove cradle (4) from transmitter/receiver (A35)    
10 Install in the reverse order
