Retrofitting traffic data memory - AN82.61-P-1000-04B
Model 210
On vehicles with navigation processor as standard feature, illustrated on model 210 sedan
- Remove navigation processor and check whether mounting lugs (arrows) are present on the bottom of the mount (30).
- If lugs are present install traffic data memory (A2/43) on mount.
- Align traffic data memory (A2/43) on mount (30) as shown in figure, mark hole pattern for mounting arms and drill mounting holes with 5.5 mm dia. bit.
- Fasten traffic data memory with three commercially available M5x15 screws and matching nuts.
- Install navigation processor without touching screw heads (if necessary modify mount).
On vehicles with navigation processor retrofitted below rear shelf (sedan) or in compartment below tailgate (T-model) it is necessary to install the traffic data memory next to the navigation processor.
- Align traffic data memory (A2/43) next to APS navigation processor (A2/30) as shown in figure. Mark hole pattern for mounting arms, drill 3 mm dia. mounting holes.
- Fasten traffic data memory (A2/43) with 3 commercially available sheet metal screws.
- Depending on installation location protect traffic data memory (A2/43) against damage with plastic or sheet metal cover (shop-made).
