Retrofitting global positioning system (GPS) antenna - AN82.61-P-7474-04W

Model 210.2 

  1. Mask rear area of roof from top over large surface with masking tape or foil.
  2. Mark antenna hole (21) in center of roof at dimension (h = 138 mm).
    1. Cut antenna hole (21) out to 18 mm dia. (for CTLEL and GPS roof antenna (A2/49)).
    2. Cut antenna hole (21) out to 15 mm dia. (for GPS antenna (A2/23)).

  3. For combination antenna (telephone and GPS) 

  4. Install antenna (A2/49) in roof, align in vehicle longitudinal direction and press lightly onto roof.

    IMPORTANT The hole pattern for the front locating pin of the antenna will be marked on the gluing surface (dimension x = 30 mm)

  5. Mark hole for locating pin and drill with 6 mm dia. bit.

  6. For GPS antenna 

  7. Install antenna for global positioning system (GPS) (A2/23) in roof, align in vehicle longitudinal direction (arrow) and press on lightly.

    IMPORTANT The hole pattern for the front locating pin of the antenna will be marked on the gluing surface (dimension x = 12 mm).

  8. Mark hole for locating pin and drill with 3.5 mm dia. bit.

  9. For all antennas 

    IMPORTANT When cutting the holes do not damage paint and roof. Do not remove drilling chips with magnet. Coat bare points on body at holes with primer.

  10. Pull adhesive foil off of antenna base.
  11. Install antenna and align.

  12. Screw on antenna from inside. Route antenna lead to left D-pillar and fasten with felt (arrows).
  13. Tie back D-net antenna lead below D-pillar (if no longer required).
  14. Connect antenna extension lead (11) to antenna.
  15. Fasten connector (12) to roof and left D-pillar with felt strips (arrows).

  16. Fasten lead (11) with omega clip (27).
