Retrofitting global positioning system (GPS) antenna - AN82.61-P-7474-04O

Model 210.0 

  1. Mask rear area of roof over large surface from top with masking tape or foil.
  2. Mark dimension (h = 182 mm) on center of roof for antenna hole (21).
  3. Expand antenna hole (21) to 18 mm dia.

  4. Insert antenna (A2/49) into roof, align with longitudinal axis of vehicle and press onto roof lightly.

    IMPORTANT This marks the hole pattern for the front locating pin on the antenna on the masked surface (dimension x=30 mm)

  5. Mark hole for locating pin and drill with 6 mm dia. bit.

    IMPORTANT When expanding the drilled holes do not damage the paint or roof. Do not remove drilling chips with magnet. Coat bare spots on body next to holes with primer.

  6. Remove backing foil on antenna base.
  7. Insert antenna and align.
  8. Screw down antenna from inside. Route antenna lead to left C-pillar and fasten with felt (arrow).
  9. Tie back CTEL antenna lead below C-pillar.

  10. Connect antenna extension wire (11) to antenna.
  11. Fasten connector (12) to roof and left C-pillar with felt strips (arrow).
  12. Route wire (11) along existing wires to navigation processor in trunk and connect.
  13. Fasten wire (11) with cable strap (27). (Tie back excessive length below rear shelf).
