Retrofitting fiber optic cable wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-01CE

Model 210.2 

1. Before the D2B ring can be expanded it is first necessary to determine the current vehicle configuration.

2. Check fiber optic cable for proper routing.

   On vehicles with  CD player with changer:

   • Radio (A2)
   • CD changer (A2/6)
   • CTEL interface (A34/4)
   • Radio (A2)

3. Remove white (ws) insert of present M3 fiber optic cable module from connector on CD player with changer (A2/6) and insert into new connector housing.
4. Insert new M2 fiber optic cable module with red (rt) insert into new connector housing and lock housing

   The M2 fiber optic cable module should be just long enough to connect the CD player with changer (A2/6) with the voice control system control module (A35/11). Observe special routing guidelines for fiber optic cables.

5. Connect locked new connector to voice control system control module (A35/11).

6. Insert white (ws) insert for new M2 fiber optic cable module into old connector on CD player with changer (A2/6) and lock. Reconnect connector.
7. Route fiber optic cable along present leads while observing special routing guidelines and fasten with adhesive felt.
