Retrofitting fiber optic cable wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-01C

Model 210.0 as of 1.7.98 

1. Check fiber optic cable routing in left trunk.

   The component sequence is:

   • Radio (A2)
   • CD changer (A2/6)
   • Radio (A2).

2. Remove white (ws) insert for existing fiber optic cable module M2 from CD changer (A2/6) connector and insert into new connector housing to form fiber optic cable module M3.
3. Insert a new fiber optic cable module M2 with red (rt) insert into new connector housing and lock housing.

   The fiber optic cable module M2 must be long enough to connect the CD changer (A2/6) with the CTEL interface (A34/4).

   Observe special guidelines for routing the fiber optic cable.

4. Connect the closed new connector to the CTEL interface (A34/4).

5. Insert white (ws) insert from new fiber optic cable module M2 into old connector on CD changer (A2/6) and lock. Reconnect connector.
6. Observe special guidelines for routing the fiber optic cable along existing leads and fasten with adhesive felt.
