Air suspension strut leaky in area of adhesive - AF32.22-P-4040AU

Damage code	Cause	Remedy
32 480 04	Suspension strut capsule bearing leaky.	1 Ensure that air suspension is filled with air.
		See Step 24 in AR32.22-P-1600I. Only required when system previously unpressurized. Then check leakage in area of adhesive: ↓	AR32.22-P-1600I
		2 Spray with solution of soap and water in area of line connection and adhesive.
		3 Rock vehicle front end. If bubbles form (see figure) in the area of the black adhesive: ↓
	Leakage occurs primarily on air suspension strut capsule bearing when vehicle is on lifting platform with load on wheels relieved and their weight not pulling down on the capsule bearing. The cause is the setting effect in the capsule bearing (rubber), which occurs primarily at high outside temperatures. The message "STOP CAR TOO LOW" may also appear at the instrument cluster display and/or fault code 1517-001 (critical level on front axle) may be stored in the DTC memory for the AIRmatic control module (N51).	4 Seal capsule bearing. Use repair kit specified in Parts ordering notes. We recommend sealing both suspension struts (one set is required for each suspension strut). Use O-ring according to Parts ordering notes only when present O-ring was damaged during installation!	AR32.22-P-1600I
