Model 215, Model 220 with infrared protection window glass
The following components are integrated into the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) (see block diagram):
- Amplifier for AM antenna
- Filter and amplifier with diversity system for 4 FM antennas
- Reception unit for radio frequency central locking (RCL)
- Filter and amplifier for TV antennas (optional)
The processed signals are transferred to the corresponding control modules via the coaxial connection sockets
Connecting antennas
Between the rear window antennas and the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) a silicon material with extremely good conductive properties is used for electrical contact. The silicon material is pressed against the silver surfaces of the antennas by spring force.
The rear window is always equipped with all antennas regardless of the special equipment installed. However, there are differences in the national versions of the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12)

,...) and the TV option.
On model 220 the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12) version also depends on the rear window glass (infrared protection or green glass).
