Child protection feature
The function of the rear power window switch (S21/3, S21/4) in the rear doors can be disabled with the rear power window safety switch (S20/1s5) located in the left front power window switch group (S20/1) (child protection).
The position of the safety switch is read in by the left front door control module (N69/1) (vehicles with right-hand steering: right front door control module (N69/2)), and relayed to the left rear door control module (N69/3) and the right rear door control module (N69/4) via the CAN bus, disabling the rear power window switches in the rear doors.
