  Global positioning system antenna, purpose Reception and amplification of the global positioning system (GPS) satellite signals.  
  Global positioning system antenna, design The GPS antenna consists of a microwave antenna (receive frequency in gigahertz range) and an antenna booster. The power supply comes from the coaxial antenna cable. An antenna splitter may be required depending on the configuration.
