Installing tapered roller bearing inner race on drive pinion and pressing in together with radial seal ring; Universal hypoid-gear lubricants; Radial seal ring and joint flange on drive pinion modified

1. Check pressure plate (arrow) of tapered roller bearing cone (43d) for exact seating.

2. Install tapered roller bearing inner race (43d) in rear axle housing.
3. Coat lip if new radial sealing ring (42) with universal hypoid gear oil and mount on the drift (034).

   Drift (034) for the previous radial sealing ring version: 140 589 08 15 00. Drift (034) for the new radial sealing ring version: 140 589 13 15 00.

4. Press in tapered roller bearing inner race (43d) and radial seal ring (42) using puller (035).
5. Remove puller (035) with drift (034) from rear axle housing.
