Brake System - Inspect Fluid Level: Check

WARNING: Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

1. 1  Check fluid level on brake system. The fluid level must be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks embossed in the brake fluid reservoir. See Fig 1 .
2. If the brake fluid level is to low the cause is to be determined, eliminated and the brake discs and brake pads are to be checked for wear and condition.
3. Check brake system, ABS, ETS, ASR, ESP, SBC (also pressure reservoir, charging pump and charge plunger unit in the wheelhouse) for leaks.
