Adjust Parking Brake: Inspect: Notes

WARNING: Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. See RISK OF DEATH CAUSED BY VEHICLE SLIPPING OR TOPPLING OFF OF THE LIFTING PLATFORM in OVERALL VEHICLE article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
  1. 1.1 -  Check version of pedal assembly. See PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY MODIFIED .
  2. 2.1 -  Operate parking brake pedal and check pedal travel of parking brake pedal.
    NOTE: If the pedal travel is not within the tolerance range: Adjust parking brake. See ADJUST . For control force on parking brake pedal, see Fig 1. For number of notches that parking brake pedal has to be pressed, See Fig 1.
