Damage code	Cause	Remedy
	Ball head bolts of torsion bar link rods worn out by corrosion. Caused by moisture entering through the sealing bellows.	1 Remove/install/replace torsion bar link rods. As of production date 10/02, a new, optimized link rod has been installed (part number has changed). After thorough expanded trials, this version can be guaranteed to offer sufficient a service life. It is therefore possible to rule out the link rod as the cause of the noise in vehicles built since 10/02. If problems with the link rod nonetheless appear in vehicles built since 10/02, these vehicles must be reported and the parts provided to the responsible MPC. In damaged link rods, there must be noticeable play in the ball joints!
