- Open coupler (2) of the wiring harness for the fiber optical cable of the CD player with changer (1) on the side of the red insert (rt).
- Remove the red insert (rt) from the coupler (2).
- Open the coupling for the fiber optical cable for the radio (A2) or COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
- Remove the red insert (rt) from the coupling for the fiber optical cable for the radio (A2) or COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
- Insert the red insert (rt) of the coupling for the fiber optical cable for the radio (A2) or COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) in the coupler (2) of the wiring harness for the fiber optical cable for the CD player with changer (1) and close the coupler (2).
- Insert the red insert (rt) of the wiring harness for the fiber optical cable for the CD player with changer (1) in the coupling for the fiber optical cable for the radio (A2) or COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) and close the coupling for the fiber optical cable.
- Route the coupling for the fiber optical cable of the wiring harness for the fiber optical cable for the CD player with changer (1) as per the figure behind the instrument panel carrier through the breakthrough in the glove compartment.
