The MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is used to trigger an MB information call or a roadside assistance call. To trigger a roadside assistance call, press the roadside assistance call button (with wrench icon on it) or the MB information call button (with letter "i" on it). If the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is pressed longer than 0.5 s, the system is activated. System activation is indicated by a blinking LED in the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6).

Regardless of the type of request, the information from the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is read in by the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) over a discrete line. The data are automatically transmitted as an SMS by the emergency call system control unit (N123/4). At the same time the SMS is sent, a voice connection is established to the service center.
