Supplemental restraint system (SRS) 

Crash detection: 

• via CAN signal,
• Local acceleration sensor in rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Activation condition: 

Condition for the activation of the crash function:

• Vehicle disarmed from outside:
• Circuit 15C or
• Circuit 15R or
• Circuit 15.

Actions: 

The following actions are performed in the event of a crash which has been detected, depending on the crash signal:

• switch on hazard warning flashers.

The hazard warning flashers are switched on if a crash is detected.

• Disarming the trunk lid.

If at the time of the crash the trunk lid is armed, the trunk lid is disarmed after a delay of 10 seconds.

• Emergency release of central locking.

The signal is placed on CAN class B for 1 second. If the acceleration sensor signals a new crash later on, the signal is transmitted again for 1 second.
