Displaying the coolant temperature

At the driver's request the coolant temperature is shown as a bar chart in the multifunction display (A1p13). If the default screen of the display is showing (total mileage and trip odometer), the scrolling forwards and backwards button (S110s1) needs to be pressed once in the direction of scroll forwards using the (↓) button to do this.

This display is a plateau display. This means the bar stops at 95 °C for temperatures between 95°C and 115 °C.

Temperatures within this temperature range are not critical. The correct temperature is only displayed once the temperature reaches 116 ° C. This is to prevent the driver from being unnecessarily disturbed by the display, for example, at high outside temperature.

The warning range starts at 130 °C. As of 130 °C the coolant temperature and the warning message "COOLANT STOP. ENGINE OFF appears automatically in the multifunction display (A1p13). A warning signal also sounds.
