Pressing out and attaching track rod joint at steering knuckle - AR46.40-P-0200-02PW

TORQUE SPECIFICATION TIE ROD

    Pushing off 

  1. Undo self-locking nut of tie rod joint (10a).
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Mount thrust piece (045).
  3. Pry off tie rod joint (10a) SPECIAL TOOL using puller (044).

    NOTES Do not damage the rubber boot otherwise grease will escape from the tie rod joint. This results in increased wear.

  4. SPECIAL TOOL Remove puller (044) and SPECIAL TOOL thrust piece (045).

    Installation

  5. Clean tapered connection.

    IMPORTANT The cone and thread must be free of grease and oil

  6. Replace self-locking nut and screw on TORQUE SPECIFICATION . If necessary, counterhold ball head using an Allen wrench.
